Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using REIT Stack (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

REIT Stack is a Canadian REIT screening and analysis platform. The Service provides financial data, screening tools, comparison features, and educational content related to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) listed on Canadian exchanges — the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV).

3. Not Financial Advice

The data and analysis provided by REIT Stack is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.

You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions. Past performance is not indicative of future results. REIT Stack makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data presented.

4. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.
  • Plan changes take effect immediately, with billing prorated for the remainder of the current period.
  • A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Data Accuracy

Financial and market data is sourced from public market data providers, official company filings, third-party commercial real-estate brokerage research firms, and automated extraction systems. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all data is error-free. Specific limitations:

  • Market prices are delayed (not real-time) and updated daily.
  • Financial metrics extracted from PDF reports may contain errors.
  • FX rates are updated daily and may not reflect intraday movements.
  • Data quality indicators are provided for transparency.
  • The /markets dashboard and market research reports compile attributed statistics from publicly released commercial real-estate brokerage research.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service without API access.
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data obtained from the Service.
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription tier restrictions or rate limits.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

REIT Stack owns its original analysis, design, and code. Third-party research, publications, and statistics remain the property of their respective owners and are used with attribution. You may not reproduce or redistribute REIT Stack's protected original material without permission, and your use of third-party material remains subject to the rights of its owner.

9. Copyright & Content Concerns

If you own or represent rights in material that you believe appears on the Service without authorization, submit a notice through our contact form and choose “Copyright / IP concern,” or email support@reitstack.com. Identify the material and its location, explain the rights you hold, provide your contact information, and state the action you request. We will review credible notices promptly and may restrict or remove material while a concern is investigated.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REIT Stack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@reitstack.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
